Biography

Kelly Schultz is a strong advocate for the people of Missouri and is eager for the opportunity to serve them in the Missouri House of Representatives.  She earned an undergraduate degree in political science and a masters in public administration from the University of Missouri. Her husband Loren teaches food animal medicine at the University of Missouri Veterinary School. Loren and Kelly have been foster parents for several years providing care for teens and feel blessed to have adopted their four-year-old daughter Brianna. The Schultz’s are members of Trinity Lutheran Church where Kelly played in the hand bell choir and Loren served on the Board of Elders.  Kelly’s family lives off a gravel road east of Shaw.

Upon graduation, Kelly took a bi-partisan job in the Missouri Senate. She has worked for Missouri families in the Capitol for the last eleven years and wishes to continue to serve the people of the 21st District as their State Representative.  With a diverse background in policy and constituent services from both the Senate and the House of Representatives, Kelly knows how to start working for her constituents and the people of Missouri the morning after Election Day.

Kelly believes it is vital we elect individuals who possess the experience and strength that is necessary to represent our common values. As a legislator in Jefferson City, Kelly will work to create more quality jobs that will put Missourians back to work.  As the daughter and grand-daughter of former educators, Kelly understands the value and importance of a quality education. Kelly will work to ensure that our children are able to receive a world-class education.

Kelly is the president of the Boone County Foster Parent Support Group, a member of the Hallsville Chamber of Commerce, Boone County Cattlemen’s Association and the League of Women Voters.

Kelly will prove to be a true asset to the people of the 21st District and Missouri.
